AgreenSkills is an international mobility program co-funded by the European Commission and coordinated by INRA and the Agreenium consortium over the period 2012-2015. Its goal is to attract talented young scientists from around the world to come work in Agreenium laboratories and offer international research opportunities to students currently working in Agreenium units. Ultimately, this strengthens the skill set within our research teams and prepares us to meet global challenges in the areas of agriculture, food, environment and animal health.

There are two waves of project selection held each year with 24 awarded projects, each with a budget of 3.1 million euros. In 2013, the INRA Nancy-Lorraine Center received two Agreenium grants for young french doctoral students with projects involving travel abroad. For the period mid-2013 to mid-2015, the center welcomed one american researcher to work in one of our research units.

The "AgreenSkills Awarded Campus" label is awarded to research centers participating in the program. It recognizes the quality of host assistance offered to foreign researchers supported by the program. The award label is accompanied by a Home charter ("Hosting Award Campus Charter") which lists the defining principles of the program.
